HEIL microphones are the new kids on the block at Pinknoize Audio. They are receiving rave responses from any one who hears one and we are selling them like hot cakes. The PR48 kickdrum mike made its debut at the Tamworth Beer and Wine Festival on March 6 and turned a fairly ordinary sounding kick drum into a major concert beast. Even the most hardened critics were impressed with it. We have since added the PR20 vocal instrument mic to our inventory, and as soon as we A/B it against the most used vocal mic in Australia people want one. They really do sound amaizing. We are also replacing all of the better known brand radio mic heads with the PR35 capsule, It turnes these things into a truly studio sounding radio mic. If you don't believe us give us a call and wde will be only too happy to arrange a demo. There is nothing but good things said about these mics.
LAB GRUPPEN fp10000Q amps are now in our inventory. They are a great powerful amp giving 4 x 2500watts @ 2 ohms which saves us heaps of rack space and weight, especially for our line arrays and concert foldback systems.
JOHN LEE has joined our team as our travelling sales rep. John will be based in Tamworth and will be concentrating on the installation and retail sales side of our business. He has lots of fresh ideas and is keen to help establish us as the go to company in regional N.S.W. You will hear more about this new direction we are taking in the next few months
One of the Martin W8LM stacks used for the Jim Curkpatrick Album release at Armidale Bowl's club (3xW8LM plus 3PNA 218 dual 18" subs. Heaps of grunt for 300 country rock punters and unbelievably good dispersion. These things work even with three elements per side)
Our W8LM cabinets are starting to make an impact in the north for their sound quality and userbility. They have recently done The Goondiwindi Get Plucked B & S Ball which catered for 3500 rauchus punters and the Telstra Country Road to Tamworth in Inverell where 4 elements per side were used and easily covered Campbell park and a crowd estimated at 2500 (Pic Shows ground stacked W8LM at Inverell show)
Mean while our Nexo PS rigs are still working hard and still impressing, we recently did the afternoon session in the park for the Thunderbolt Festival with a single PS15 system which has bought rave reviews from the organisers. The same system was used for the Glen Innes Land of the Beardies Festival with great success, you no longer need a huge system to create a good full sound. (The pic shows The Land Of The Beardies set up. A single Nexo for 700 punters)

Downstairs in the courtyard we supplied a JBL SRX system for FOH & Foldback and despite some early hick ups with some new staff being over awed with the pressure ,Craig Spriggs and Brett Bradley pulled it all together and got through the week with a minimal amount of angst and pulled some pretty good sounds as well.
At the Albert hotel we supplied a single Meyer MSL3 system with double 650R subs and a PNA designed drumfill complementing our Formula Blue wedges. This was operated by Daniel Lade who did an exceptional job all week, pulling a great sound and handled some of the more difficult acts with ease.
This is not an easy festival and all of the guys worked really hard to make it happen under some extreme heat and pressure. Thanks to all who were a part of our team and to the staff and management of the various venues.
Australian Celtic Festival Glen Innes 2009
Pinknoize Audio supplied all of the Audio and lighting for the Australian Celtic Festival held in Glen Innes over the first weekend in May.
There were a variety of systems out covering the events at the standing stones site as well as The Glen Innes Services Club, Bowling Club and The New England Club.
The stones site was mainly covered by Nexo PS 15 on the two main stages & two dance floors WITH PS 10 boxes in the centre of the stones themselves. Nexo PS8 cabs were used for the Jousting area with great success. RCF 322A cabs were used for the stone wall area and strong man events while P.Audio 10" cabs were used for the dog trials and poets corner.
RCF were again utilised at the New England club and Town Hall with a full Mackie system at the Bowling Club.
A Martin W8LM system was used in the auditorium of the Services Club (6 per side) for the Friday night celebrations featuring a great folk band from Brisbane in Murphey's Pigs and also on Saturday night for the Triquetra awards dinner. As well a JBL SRX700 system was used in the front bar on Saturday night.
The Jousting was a strong feature of this years Celtic festival. Featuring pro Jousters from Full Tilt (these guys go hard) and was proudly spoosored by Pinknoize Audio.
Pipers were another attraction and were on constant parade in the Stones centre
